Consumer Confidence Falls for Fifth Straight Month

The Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index® fell for a fifth straight month in December, dropping 3.8 points to 89.1. This is the lowest level for the index in the past eight months and was lower than the forecast of 91.7.
