Job Openings Drop to Lowest Level Since 2020

Job openings unexpectedly fell for a third straight month in December, hitting 6.542 million vacancies according to the latest Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS). This marks the lowest level since September 2020 and was significantly lower than the expected 7.200 vacancies.
