Initial Unemployment Claims Up 1K, Lower Than Expected

In the week ending July 26th, initial jobless claims were at a seasonally adjusted level of 218,000. This represents an increase of 1,000 from the previous week's figure and marks the first increase in six weeks. The latest reading was lower than the 222,000 forecast.
