Chicago Fed National Activity Index: Economic Growth Increased in August

The Chicago Fed National Activity Index (CFNAI) rose to -0.12 in August from -0.28 in July. Three of the four broad categories of indicators used to construct the index increased from July, and three categories made negative contributions in August.
