Richmond Fed Manufacturing Activity Softened Further in September

Fifth district manufacturing activity softened further in September, according to the most recent survey from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. The composite manufacturing index fell 10 points to -17, remaining in negative territory for a seventh straight month. This month's reading was below the forecast of -5.
