Pending Home Sales Jump 4.0% in August, More Than Expected

The National Association of Realtors® (NAR) pending home sales index jumped to its highest level in five months, coming in at 74.7 in August. This marks a 4.0% increase from July, significantly higher than the expected 0.2% monthly rise, and a 3.8% increase from one year ago.
