Empire State Manufacturing Survey: Activity Increased Modestly in October

Manufacturing activity increased modestly in New York State, according to the Empire State Manufacturing October survey. The diffusion index for General Business Conditions rose rose 19.4 points to 10.7. The latest reading was better than the forecast of -1.8.
